    Adult Pickleball - Beginner Pickleball Lessons (age 15 +)

    This 3 week series of lessons will cover how to play pickle ball. Learn the rules, how to serve/return, keeping score, dink/drop shots, drive/attack shots, hitting zones, punch volleys, and court coverage.     Adult Pickleball - Ladder League

    Please dress in comfortable/athletic clothing and appropriate footwear for the league. Please bring your own paddle. Beginner Ladder League: Player must know the basics of the game: can serve successfully most of the time, keep score, return, and can play at the kitchen line for completion of the point. Advance Beginner Ladder League: Player has been playing at the beginning level and is ready to be challenged. Player is starting to form strategy with shots and placement. Player is not ready for the faster paced play of intermediate or advanced play.

    These Specialty Clinics our instructor will focus on specific skill during the session rather than a general introduction to the sport. Please dress in comfortable/athletic clothing and appropriate footwear for the lesson. Please bring your own paddle. Dates Available and course: June 5th / July 10th– Dinks and 3rd shot drops: learn how to improve your soft game, dinks and drops in the kitchen, strategy while dinking, and using top spin and slice. June 12th / July 17th - Serve and Return: Learn how to serve with a purpose, ball placement, different styles, and spins. Learn how to return deep, driving returns, and lobs returns. June 19th / July 24th – Defending hard shots, volleys, and overhead slams. Learn how to reset – slow the game. Practice fast hand volley skills.. Rain Dates: JUNE - 26th JULY - TBD

    Join us for our women's volleyball league on Thursdays at White Lake MS. Please register by team and we are limiting to 8 teams. There will be weekly match play, followed by 2 weeks of tournament play. New feature this season, we are doing t-shirts for everyone. Tournament winners this season will just get bragging rights. Learn how to respond effectively to adult, child and infant cardiac and choking emergencies, sudden illness, bleeding, and other life-threatening conditions from the American Red Cross programs that set the national standard. You will also learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and your vital role in the chain of survival. Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification card will be issued upon successful completion of course requirements (valid for two years).     Archery - Beginner

    Beginner class for archery introduces future archers to the basics of shooting a bow so they can take the first steps to learning the art. It covers the overall rules for range safety, equipment usage, and the proper form of archery. Practice is essential with the opportunity for games suggested by the instructor or anyone from the class. This would be a 4-week class with equipment and shooting range time included. Every week the archer will work on safety, techniques, and skills so they can move forward within the sport. The course will cover the 11 shooting steps in Archery. Coaching by USA Level 3 instructor will be provided (participants are allowed to use their own equipment).

    Archery - Intermediate

    After completing Beginner Archery, the students can register for Intermediate Archery. This class enables individuals to build blocks on what was learned in the beginner class as a result individuals will experience various types of competitive archery such as Olympic FITA style targets and scoring, NFAA targets and scoring, 3D targets and scoring, and more. This would be a 6-week class with equipment and shooting range time included. Every week the archer will work on safety, techniques, and skills so they can move forward within the sport. The course will cover the 11 shooting steps in Archery with focus on use of sights and back tension to execute shots. Coaching by USA Level 3 instructor will be provided (participants are allowed to use their own equipment).

  • Basketball Clinics

    Designed to introduce children to the game of basketball, space is limited so sign up early! Players will have the opportunity to learn basketball fundamentals during the first 30 minutes of each session followed by 20-30 minutes of small-sided games (3 v 3 or 4 v 4). Coach is provided. Includes t-shirt.

    Join us for the new Officials' Bootcamp program where you will be taught: -The rules for rec leagues -Protocols and responsibilities -Hand signals -Expectations and more If you/your child plans to ref in any of our rec leagues this coming year (winter/spring 2025), they must attend this program. They will receive their uniform, a Fox40 whistle, and information about how to provide their availability to work in our upcoming seasons.

    In memory of Carson Dunn, this fund will help remove financial barriers for athletes to participate in the Future Stars basketball program. Carson was a 10 year old boy whose life tragically ended much too soon. He LOVED playing basketball with his friends and coaches. We are now working to help others have this same opportunity. We simplify this complicated technology so that you and your child can use the phone safely without worry.

Topics include first aid, when and how to call 911, CPR with manikin practice, choking, and more! Students will also learn how to be safe and responsible when home alone, including what to do if somebody comes to the door and the importance of not giving out personal information. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion for Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course by Live Safe Academy (valid for two years). To be certified students must participate in the entire course from beginning to end and successfully complete all skills, which requires full motor function of all four extremities. No refunds or credit with less than 24-hour notice. If you need a medical exception, email Live Safe Academy at info@LiveSafeAcademy.com before class. Bring a snack, pen and paper for notes is optional. No cell phone use during class except during break.     If you enjoy writing, come join other enthusiastic writers to get creative! We will write a variety of pieces on all types of topics. Parents will join us, after our last session, to share in our wonderful writing. A snack will be provided.
  • Family Swim Night @ Lakeland's Pool

    Join us on Wednesday nights for our Family Swim Nights from 5-8 p.m. at our Lakeland Competition Pool. You and your kids can come and enjoy some time in the pool. We do have lifejackets for people who may need them. We open up 2 lanes so it's an open play area for you and your family. The diving well is also available to use. Please register the adult attending, must be 18 years or older. Register 1 person for $7, 2 people for $14 or a Family of 3-5 members for $20. An adult is required to be in the water with any child(ren) who cannot swim without floatation assistance. All children 14 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. The adult does not have to get in the pool with children who know how to swim without a flotation device, but they are expected to remain in the pool space (deck/bleachers).
