    Let's turn that High School prom sway into a fabulous first dance! Whether you’re the bride and groom, the parents of that special couple or a guest at the wedding, this one evening crash-course will prepare you for a magical evening on the reception dance floor without the difficult steps. Learn to dip, twirl and dance an easy-to-follow combination of beautiful moves, while creating a picture-perfect moment to cherish forever. Wedding shoes or smooth soled shoes are preferred.   • CPR & First Aid in Youth Sports Training

    The American Heart Association wants youth sports coaches, parents, and athletes to know how to help in an emergency – both on and off the field. This course is designed for youth coaches to ensure they and their community know the lifesaving skills of CPR, how to use an AED, and how to help during sports-related emergencies. This is NOT a certification program, this is a training program geared towards youth sports coaches/parents/community members. WHAT IS TAUGHT : CPR-related topics including: • Hands-Only CPR and AED for Teens and Adults • Adult CPR with Breaths • Choking in Adults • Child CPR and AED • Choking in Children Sports injury-related first aid topics including: • Dehydration • Heat Cramps, Heat Exhaustion, and Heat Stroke • Overuse Injuries • Bone Break • Concussion

  • Songwriter's Music Theory Workshops

    These informative workshops for guitar players (ages 14 - adult) offer an in-depth understanding of several musical elements related to the process of songwriting. Students will study the songwriting styles of several famous artists in addition to having the opportunity to write their own songs.
  • Family Swim Night @ Lakeland's Pool

    Join us on Wednesday nights for our Family Swim Nights from 5-8 p.m. at our Lakeland Competition Pool. You and your kids can come and enjoy some time in the pool. We do have lifejackets for people who may need them. The areas of the pool that will be open are 2 to 3 lanes and the diving well area. Please register the adult attending, must be 18 years or older. Register 1 person for $7, 2 people for $14 or a Family of 3-5 members for $20. An adult is required to be in the water with any child(ren) who cannot swim without floatation assistance. All children 14 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. The adult does not have to get in the pool with children who know how to swim without a flotation device, but they are expected to remain in the pool space (deck/bleachers).     Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

    Be prepared when seconds count! You might save a life, but only if you know what to do. Learn how to respond effectively to adult, child and infant cardiac and choking emergencies, sudden illness, bleeding, and other life-threatening conditions from the American Red Cross programs that set the national standard. You will also learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and your vital role in the chain of survival. Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification card will be issued upon successful completion of course requirements (valid for two years).   • Nerf Game Night!

    Game Night for Grades K-2 and 3-5! This event will include a variety of games played during the Nerf Hour! Examples of games played are Capture the Flag, Humans vs Zombies, etc. Each participant will be required to provide their own Nerf Gun (we have a handful of them for those who don't have their own guns). We will provide safety goggles and nerf bullets for the event. Parents are invited to join the fun in the last 20 minutes of game play. No additional fee for adult participation. **Be sure to label the nerf equipment you bring with you. There are a lot of people and a lot of "stuff", we want to limit items getting lost. If you have "extras" please bring them so others can enjoy too! Also, for the K-2 Kids, an adult will be required to stay with them.

You'll learn the foundation for how Snapchat is used, what the basic features include, and more. Stay up to date in today's digital world with this fun and informational class. Attendees will learn the basic fundamentals of how the app works , how to set up safety features, how to check profile details, and how advertisers work to target audience members.

    Statistically people are at greatest risk for assault twice in their life, when they are going to high school/college and when they are a senior citizen. But the most common assaults are easy to avoid >IF< you know how to recognize the warning signs and >IF< you know what to do. Learn real world self-defense for everyday people from an instructor who taught an accredited self-defense course at three college campuses to thousands of college students over the course of 14 years. Simple skills that are easy to learn and remember, and that have a proven track record of saving lives. NOTE: This class is not just for students going to school. The knowledge gained in this program is essential for everyone and is open to all students 12 years or older (male and female). Parents, serious topics are discussed openly but in a professional manor. Minors should be accompanied by a participating adult when possible. Unpaid spectators are not allowed. Students will also learn how to be safe and responsible when home alone, including what to do if somebody comes to the door and the importance of not giving out personal information. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion for Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course by Live Safe Academy (valid for two years). To be certified students must participate in the entire course from beginning to end and successfully complete all skills, which requires full motor function of all four extremities. No refunds or credit with less than 24-hour notice. If you need a medical exception, email Live Safe Academy at info@LiveSafeAcademy.com before class. Bring a snack, pen and paper for notes is optional. No cell phone use during class except during break. Please note that students must arrive on time to be certified, so please arrive up to 10 minutes early.
