Students will also learn how to be safe and responsible when home alone, including what to do if somebody comes to the door and the importance of not giving out personal information. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion for Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course by Live Safe Academy (valid for two years). To be certified students must participate in the entire course from beginning to end and successfully complete all skills, which requires full motor function of all four extremities. Join the Huron Valley HOT Team this summer with our Arduino Electronics Camp! Students will work with an Arduino kit that they can take home at the end of camp. The HOT Robotics Team's summer camp for tweenagers is an exciting and educational experience designed to ignite a passion for electronics and programming which is led by knowledgeable and enthusiastic members of the HOT Robotics Team. Campers delve into the world of STEM through hands-on learning and project-based activities - Each camper receives: an Arduino-based Elegoo kit, a versatile platform perfect for beginners to dive into electronics and coding. Throughout the camp, participants learn the fundamentals of circuitry, coding, and problem-solving as they work on various projects. The emphasis on project-based learning ensures that campers not only grasp theoretical concepts but also apply them in practical, engaging ways. One of the highlights of the camp is the final project: creating a video game using their newfound electronics and programming skills. * This also helps fund HVS HOT Robotics Team for the coming year.*

Learn preparation methods for the zombie apocalypse! Learn the skills vital for your survival in this brave new world of the undead. Topics include surviving the elements (shelter, water, and food), signaling and navigation. Did we mention all the squirt gun fights and other fun zombie survival games? Through an abridged version of the script “Cinderella”, students will discover the joys of acting, improv, voice, speech, theater, dance and more! Students will begin each day with Singing, Acting and Dance Classes and Rehearse the play in the afternoon. We’ll have special theme days and special camp activities throughout the week. Camp will end with a culminating presentation where students can showcase the tools and skills they learned with Sunset Theatre Company! Students will have a great time and leave with a brand new sense of self confidence and teamwork. Excellent for both boys and girls. Camp is for beginners to advanced students.
