Huron Valley Recreation & Community Ed offers many different Special Events throughout the year, including our annual Candy Cane Hunt in December and Trick or Trucks in October. We host a semi-annual mom-to-mom sale in the Fall and the Spring. The Daddy-Daughter and Mother-Son Dances are always a big hit, and are offered in the late Winter each year.
Trick or TrucksCelebrate Halloween a little early with Huron Valley Recreation and Community Education. Not only will kids get the experience of trick or treating, but they will also get to see the area's biggest trucks. Possible trucks will include a dump truck, fire engine, bulldozer, and much more! All children must be accompanied by an adult. Event will proceed rain or shine! Please select your time slot for arrival. We have two time slots where we won't have horns/sirens going, in case you have a child that is scared or startled with the loud noises. If that is the case, be sure to sign up for those 30 minute time slots. This event will be held at Milford HS in the parking lot near the football stadium. Also, all activities will be outside and we are JUST offering trick or treating with the trucks and will have a special holiday treat for all of our paid participants. Limited spaces this year! The $5 fee covers the cost of the candy for all of our trucks and the treat for all of our participants. The scholarship donation option below is a way that we help families who may not be able to afford events like this one, still attend. We collect donations to help offset the costs of the event.
HVRCE Scholarship Fund DonationsLooking for a way to help other kids enjoy the HV Rec and Ed programming, who otherwise can't afford to participate? We have just the thin for you! You can donate to our scholarship fund. We work hard to provide opportunities for every person in our community, but sometimes, there are families who can't afford our programming. We do provide scholarships to these families and with your help, we can provide even more of these opportunities for deserving families this coming year. Whether you want to help a little or a lot, you are making a difference to these families, thank you!
