In memory of Carson Dunn, Coach Brian Kennedy has partnered with HV Rec and Ed to create the Carson Dunn Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund will help remove financial barriers for athletes to participate in the Future Stars basketball program. Carson was a 10 year old boy whose life tragically ended much too soon. He LOVED playing basketball with his friends and Coach Kennedy. We are now working to help others have this same opportunity. Thank you for your support! Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid and Safe Home Alone Learn to be safe and responsible. Build confidence. Have a competitive edge over other babysitters. Topics include first aid, when and how to call 911, CPR with manikin practice, choking, dealing with difficult behaviors, basic care methods like feeding and diapering, marketing and more! Students will also learn how to be safe and responsible when home alone, including the importance of not giving out personal information and what to do if somebody comes to the door. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion for Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course by Live Safe Academy (valid for two years). Parents, this class is for students who are independent and responsible enough to be responsible for the safety and well-being of younger children without adult supervision. Class will end between 2 PM and 3 PM depending on when students complete the course requirements. Students need a lunch, snacks, and a fully charged cell phone (if they own one). If your student does not have a cell phone, please write down the cell phone number of the person picking them up and give it to the student. Students will message their ride at lunchtime to let their ride know what time to pick them up. Please check in your student at the beginning of class. Drop off and pick up is in the classroom. Increase your competitive edge by being more valuable to families with pets and kids. Increase your market by being certified to watch pets or kids. Learn to care for the pets in your own family. Have fun and help keep animals safe. Topics include pet first aid, CPR, choking, and more! This is an add on class for students who participate in the Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course on the same day (students of a previous Live Safe Academy Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course can become a certified pet sitter by taking a live virtual class). This program will begin after the babysitter safety class ends. Class should be concluded by 3 PM to 4 PM, depending on when the babysitter safety course is completed. Our staff includes law enforcement officers, military personal with combat experience, field staff for one of the most active Medical Examiner Offices in the Country, and professional protection services in some of our nation’s most dangerous cities. When it comes to crime and personal safety, we have the professional experience that save lives.

Join us for this exciting new program offered to adults 18+. Were you once a dancer and miss those days or did you always WANT to be a dancer and life just got in the way? This is your chance to bust out your dance shoes and get an excellent workout in while busting a move! This is a judgment-free zone and everyone is welcome! We will blend newer music with the oldies but goodies too.

Welcome all 2nd grade through 5th grade students! Come learn how to do the Virginia Reel, The Electric Slide, a circle barn dance and more with Mrs. Tyler’s dancing empower hour! I am going to teach you some partner dances and line dances that you can use for years to come! It’s a great way to get moving and grooving to the music!

This class for the female golfer focuses on combining swing development, on-course play; with a focus on safety, etiquette, and fitness. Golfers should bring their own equipment (limited clubs are available) and a water bottle. Range balls are included in the price of the class. Limited to six participants per class. Future Stars is an in-house league that provides the opportunity for students to learn and play basketball in a recreational setting. Our program focuses on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship and FUN! This instructional program utilizes volunteers for coaching (this volunteer will likely be a parent). We will limit each division to just 4 teams or 40 kids for this mini-session. ~Practices scheduled to start the week of April 3. Each team will be assigned 1 M-F for 60-90 minute increments at various HVS schools ~Games will be played on Saturdays starting April 15 - May 20 Team Selection Criteria: (No Guarantees) 1. Huron Valley Gymnastics is a recreational and competitive gymnastics program that offers classes to children ages 18 months-18 years. We offer fun, safe and affordable gymnastics for those looking to compete or learn a cartwheel. Staff consists of coaches with backgrounds in education, cheer, dance and gymnastics. Girls and boys are welcome in our toddler/preschool and school age programs. School Age / Recreational Gymnastics- For boys and girls ages 5-14 years old. Gymnasts will be instructed on all pieces of equipment. Strength, balance, flexibility, body awareness and confidence are all concepts we will work on. Beginning- Stretching, body positions, forward and backward rolls, handstand, cartwheel, bridge and skills on equipment will be worked on. If you can't do a cartwheel yet, this is the class for you. Intermediate- We will work on the skills listed for the Beginning class and start working on back walkovers as well as more difficult skills on equipment.

We will use all pieces of gymnastics equipment as well as fun preschool equipment. 18 month - 3 years parent will take part in the class with the student. In the 3 and 4 year old classes the student will be in the class by themselves.
